NO FRILLS MARATHON

The Minocqua No Frills Marathon™ & Half- Marathon keeps it simple and affordable because, at this marathon, it’s all about the race. The race accommodates those who aspire to run their first marathon, as well as veteran runners trying to better their times or qualify for the Boston Marathon.

The picturesque course begins at Nokomis Community Park, 20 miles south of Minocqua, and follows the scenic Bearskin Trail back to finish at the trail head behind the Minocqua Post Office. The No Frills Marathon is proud to be a certified qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.

The Boston Marathon is the only mass-participation marathon that requires qualifying times in certified marathons observing guidelines set forth by the Boston Athletic Association and USA Track and Field. Online Registration is $55* – Through Friday, Sept 4, 2020;

NEW THIS YEAR:  Relay Teams of up to 5 members - $160.
*plus 10% service charge for online registration.  Special rate for M

Race Day Rates:  Full and Half Marathon $65; 3-5 member relay teams $180; and 2 member relay teams $135.

There will be 4 transition points available on the course for transitions.

There will be 5 transition points on the course.  The Relay Team must determine where they wish to transition depending upon the number of team members.

Online registration at blueravenproductions.com closes at 11:59 PM on Friday, Sept 4.  Only those that register online are guaranteed a shirt.

Register and packet pickup in person until Saturday, Sept 5 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm and Sunday, Sept 6, from 5:00 am to 7:00 am at the Minocqua American Legion building on W Front St across from the Minocqua Post Office.

Included in Registration:
Complimentary shuttles (for racers only) from municipal parking lot on Hwy 51 downtown Minocqua near Minocqua Post Office, 126 W Front Street.  Shuttle bus will leave at 6:00 am for regular marathon and 7:00 am for 1/2 marathon runners. (No early bus this year).

Aid Stations at mile 4-6-8-10-13-15-17-19-21-23-Finish, all with water and Gatorade and some with snack.

Bag transport back to finish line from start area.

ON PACE RACE will again be on the course to set the pace for your skill and ability level.  Look for their banner at the start of the Marathon and Half Marathon.

Awards:

Marathon and Half Marathon -Overall Male and Female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and First Place Marathon Relay.

There are no age group awards for this event.

All participants receive a medal for finishing the event.
